In 2000, the Cunniff family made the largest private donation ever received by the Park District of Highland Park, Illinois.

Tim and Jill Cunniff were deeply touched by the outpouring of love and support that they received from the community as their 7-year old son, Danny, bravely fought acute myeloid leukemia.

Danny lost his battle a mere 37 days after his diagnosis, but his gifts as an exceptional athlete, top student, charismatic friend and loving son continue to inspire all who knew him.

The DANNY CUNNIFF SOCCER CLASSIC is in honor of the late Danny Cunniff.
